The Cairngorm National Park is Scotlands second national park.
The Cairngorm area will shortly be Scotland's second National Park
and Cairngorm Mountain's funicular railway is proving one of Scotland's
top tourist attractions, with magnificent views, and an exhibition
area. Landmark Forest Heritage Park at Carrbridge, beautiful Loch
Morlich and the Spey Valley Steam Railway are more of the area's
outstanding attractions.

Loch Morlich
Providing great watersports facilities, a cosy resteraunt and kids
playground, Loch Morlich offers not only the wild experience, but

The Mountain
Eight miles south east of Aviemore and high on the northern flank
of Cairn Gorm lies the CairnGorm Mountain Railway. This funicular
railway runs for two kilometers through the Cairngorm ski area.
In doing so it climbs 460m to the Ptarmigan top station, 150m below
the summit of the mountain.
Eating-
- The Cas Bar. Décor within the new Cas Bar is traditional
in style with the emphasis on natural wood, stone and real fire
warmth
- The Ptarmigan. The UK's highest restaurant, the Ptarmigan operates
as a semi-served restaurant during the day, but opens as an exclusive
venue for evening dining and private events over the summer months.
Shopping-
- Shop at the top. The highest shop in Britain, Ski clothing and
technical clothing, a range of gifts for the family and friends.
- Mountain shop. hats, gloves, goggles, scarves and don't forget
the unique Buff's - a multi purpose piece of clothing you'll always
find useful.
The funicular railway-
- The funicular railway climbs up the Cairngorm Mountain, the
mountain range was created and moulded by 400 million years of
geological drama.
Ski at the Cairngorm mountain-
- Both learners and experienced Skiers can enjoy a weeks tuition
or a days skiing at this challenging area, there are many ski
runs to explore (weather permitting)
